Our Story

In 2022 two Emergency Nurses combined their passions for health and wellness with their years of medical training creating Mountain Med Spa. We started by specializing in IV infusions and injectables. Mountain Med Spa now offers facial treatments with our licensed esthetician and a variety of skin care products in our boutique!

IV Therapy

IV hydration can relieve symptoms associated with dehydration, alcohol consumption, and post workout fatigue. Vitamin infusions in the IV allows your body to better absorb the nutrients by avoiding the GI tract (where many nutrients are lost). Come in for a consultation to see if this is right for you.

What can you expect at your first appointment?

Upon booking you will receive a link to access your client portal. You will complete an online assessment and health history, this will also allow you to make or change appointments. You will receive an in-person or tele-health good faith exam by one of our providers, without this we will not be able to provide services.

* We do not accept insurance, FSA, or HSA as payment methods. No refunds will be offered on services.

Botox and Injectables

Botulinum toxin, Botox® is a neurotoxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium A. Botulinum toxin can relax the muscles on areas of the face which cause wrinkles associated with facial expressions or facial pain. Treatment with botulinum toxin can cause your facial expression lines or wrinkles to be less noticeable or essentially disappear. Areas we treat at Mountain Med Spa are glabellar area or frown lines (11’s) located between the eyes; crow’s feet (lateral areas of the eyes); forehead wrinkles; and a “lip flip” in which botox is injected into the vermillion border of the lips to increase lip projection. Botox is diluted in a very controlled solution (bacteriostatic normal saline) and when injected into the muscles with a very thin needle, it is almost painless. Patients may feel a slight burning sensation while the solution is being injected. The procedure takes about 15-20 minutes and the results can last up to 3 months. With repeated treatments, the results may tend to last longer.

Before undergoing this procedure, understanding the risks is essential. No procedure is completely risk-free. The following risks may occur, but there may be unforeseen risks and risks that are not included on this list. Some of these risks, if they occur, may necessitate hospitalization, and/or extended outpatient therapy to permit adequate treatment. It has been explained to me that there are certain inherent and potential risks and side effects in any invasive procedure and in this specific instance such risks include but are not limited to: 1. Post treatment discomfort, swelling, redness, and bruising. 2. Double vision, 3. A weakened tear duct, 4. Post treatment bacterial, and/or fungal infection requiring further treatment, 5. Allergic reaction, 6. Minor temporary droop of eyelid(s) in approximately 2% of injections, this usually lasts 2-3 weeks, 7. Occasional numbness of the forehead lasting up to 2-3 weeks, 8. Transient headache and 9. Flu-like symptoms may occur.

A chemical peel is a procedure in which a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove the top layers. The skin that grows back is smoother. With a light or medium peel, you may need to undergo the procedure more than once to get the desired results.

Chemical peels are used to treat wrinkles, discolored skin and scars — usually on the face. They can be done alone or combined with other cosmetic procedures.

At Mountain Med Spa we are proud to use PCA skin products for all our facials and peels. There are a myriad of benefits from regular chemical peel treatments. With formulations for all skin types – even those with sensitive skin – PCA SKIN peels improve skin concerns: acne, hyperpigmentation and aging. These challenging skin concerns are improved with our perfected formulas by increasing the skin’s cell turnover rate, bringing new skin cells to the surface, reducing signs of fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots and clearing breakouts.

Our Facials allow you to have some R&R and enjoy PCA product applications. We can choose the products based on your skin care goals, while creating a relaxing environment.
